Science has changed our lives and is vital to the world’s future prosperity. At Wolviston we value Science as a core subject and deliver a high-quality curriculum which provides the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics.

Our pupils learn key scientific vocabulary and knowledge as well as the skills linked to scientific working. We want our pupils to develop the ability to think independently and raise scientific questions, developing an enthusiasm and enjoyment of scientific learning and discovery so that they have an excitement and passion to pursue science at secondary school and know what career options it could lead to.

Learning is further supported by regular investigation workshops, led by working scientists. Links with local industries are established and opportunities for real science is brought to life.
