As a majestic wolf, Wolfie embodies the essence of our Small School with Big Dreams, mirroring the courage and determination instilled in each of our pupils.
Much like our school logo, Wolfie stands as a symbol of leadership, loyalty, and community, inspiring all who encounter him to embrace these virtues in their school journey. We welcome all stakeholders: parents, carers, governors and volunteers to join us in celebrating the spirit of Wolfie, as together, we continue to foster a supportive and empowering learning environment for our children to thrive.
Wolfie serves as an emblem of recognition and encouragement for acts of kindness displayed by our children throughout the week. At the end of each week, staff nominate children who have exhibited exceptional kindness towards others. These acts of kindness can range from simple gestures of friendship to acts of compassion and empathy. Once nominations are collected, Wolfie is awarded to children across each year group who have been recognised to receive our weekly Caring Award. Wolfie ensures that these acts of kindness are celebrated and reinforced, inspiring a culture of empathy, care, generosity, and respect within our school community. By recognising and rewarding kindness, we aim to cultivate a positive and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered to make a difference.
Wolfie’s journey extends beyond the school grounds as he becomes a cherished guest in the home of the child who receives the Caring Award. This special honour not only acknowledges the child’s acts of kindness but also invites them to share Wolfie’s companionship with their family. During his stay, Wolfie becomes a part of the family’s activities, joining them for meals, outings, and even bedtime stories. This unique experience fosters meaningful connections between the home/school, reinforcing the values of compassion, empathy, and togetherness. As Wolfie travels from one home to another, he carries with him the spirit of caring and unity, leaving a lasting impact on all who welcome him into their lives.
